Ask the wedding coordinator to approve each visitor staying elsewhere, including children, and confirm any pass, charge, deadline and access window. Then identify the exact resort, section and permitted vehicle entrance. Assess the outward journey and return separately with the chosen provider; an airport-transfer quote does not include a wedding visit. Keep written admission and transport confirmations together.
Confirm permission before arranging the journey
Send the coordinator the names and ages of everyone staying outside the venue. Ask whether your invitation covers the ceremony only or also the reception, what visitor registration is required, whether passes or charges apply and when approval must be completed. For example, Palace Weddings publishes conditions for outside guests and does not permit minors at its adults-only resorts. That is a resort-group policy, not a rule for every Cancún wedding. Your venue must confirm its own current requirements. Do not arrive at the gate relying only on the couple's invitation.
Can children attend a wedding at an adults-only resort?
Do not assume a ceremony creates an exception. Give every child's age to the coordinator and obtain the venue's answer before arranging travel. If admission is refused, revise the family's plan; transport confirmation cannot override a resort's age policy.
Identify the actual resort, section and entrance
Share the full accommodation address and full wedding-venue name, not simply ‘Cancún’ or a resort brand. The Hotel Zone, Costa Mujeres and the southern Riviera Cancún area are different endpoints. At a complex such as Moon Palace, distinguish the booked property or section, including Sunrise, Nizuc or The Grand as applicable. Ask the coordinator which entrance visiting vehicles may use and where guests complete admission. A lobby map pin is not permission to drive through a gate, and an airport hotel page does not confirm wedding access.
Plan arrival around admission and the ceremony
Get the local event date, required guest arrival time and earliest permitted entry. Allow separately for the road journey, gate checks and any internal walk or venue-managed movement to the ceremony. Ask the venue how guests reach the event after admission and whether assistance is available. A vehicle reaching the entrance is not the same as being seated for the ceremony. If a flight lands on the wedding day, account separately for immigration, baggage and airport departure; landing time cannot establish readiness for the event.
Can I use the airport price or driving time for this visit?
No. Those figures describe a different route and exclude arrival formalities and baggage time. Request an assessment using the actual departure address, event entrance, date and return details. No wedding fare or guaranteed journey time is established here.
Confirm the return before leaving for the wedding
Agree the actual pickup point, local date and time, passenger list and destination for the return. An evening reception may end after midnight, so write both the date and time. Declare all bags, child-seat requests and mobility equipment, and confirm boarding needs. If some guests leave earlier, each different departure needs assessment. Ask what happens if the reception runs late: waiting, a changed pickup and any charge depend on the accepted terms. Neither a driver waiting throughout the event nor a late-night vehicle is automatic.
Keep airport transfers and wedding visits separate
List each road leg: CUN to your accommodation, accommodation to the wedding, the return visit journey and your later airport departure. Airport fares and driving estimates cannot price or time an interhotel trip; do not subtract one zone fare from another. CUN Airport Transfer does not automatically offer wedding shuttles or include event transport in an airport reservation. Any different journey requires separate assessment and written acceptance. Does confirmation of transport confirm entry to the resort?
No. The venue confirms admission and the transport provider confirms the accepted road journey. Keep both written records. If an entrance, guest list or event time changes, ask each affected party to reconfirm before relying on the revised plan.
